Thanks! Every little bit helps, but if you believe in the master plan, then you believe everything according to His will. Come what may...

You bring up an interesting point. I'm Presbyterian, which teaches predestination. I admit to occasionally struggling between the notion of free will and that it's all according to His plan.

I liken it to looking at a picture from up close (the human perspective) and from a height/distance of 1000's of miles :) God's "Big Picture" is far bigger than anything I can imagine!

That's led to some other interesting trains of thought, which I won't bore you with now :) Take care :)

I struggle with it all the time. Everyone would like to believe that their in control of their fate, and their lives. But every now and then, you realize, through.. events.. that some (or all) things are out of your control. And that's more depressing to me than enlightening. I'd like to say that it's cause for celebration that my life is being piloted by Him... but I can't. Not now at least.

I won't talk much about that though :)

Seriously. Thanks for the concern and well wishes. Makes up for the asian dude that spit at me when we were mobilizing in Seattle!

I'm glad this is a good thing for you and some of the other families back home. I try to paint as realistic a picture for you all back home, so you can.. be here with us? It's a far cry from actually being here, but I'm glad it does give you that feeling of closeness to your hubby.

Keep the homefires burning and never forget that all the soldiers here are very much in love with their families and miss them just as much.

This blog also serves as a journal, a chronicle for me and the guys here, and for that matter, in some small way, for the American soldier of this generation's big war. And as a way to keep these silly thoughts and observations of mine in a time capsule, so nothing's forgotten in the years ahead.
